Paid Traffic
One way to get traffic is through paid advertising.
You can advertise on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google, etc.
Paid traffic has it's advantages in that you can position your ads in front of your ideal audience.
However, it can become very expensive if you don't know marketing and have a robust follow-up system in place.
Furthermore, most leads that come from paid traffic are cold market.
That means, they don't know who you are and what you're about.
Building long term customer loyalty where they buy from you over and over again can be a challenge.
Paid traffic is usually the last source you tap into when you're ready to scale and grow.
Earned Traffic
Earned Traffic is where you invest your time by either publishing content (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or podcast), or you tap into influencer's audiences.
This is a great traffic source when it comes to building your audience.
Earned traffic allows you turn a cold market to warm market.
Warm market means that they have an idea of who you are and what you're about.
People do business with those who they know, like, and trust.
Traffic You OWN
The third and final traffic source is the traffic you own, which is your email list.
Your email list is your number one asset in your business.
When you have people join your email list that's permission based marketing.
Permission based marketing is when people say "Yes, I want you to follow up with me on a consistent basis."
You don't need to spend any more money following up with your email subscribers.
Cool part is, you can follow up with them unlimited times and make consistent product offers, which allows you to make more money.
According to Russell Brunson, each person on your list should generate at least $1 in profit for you.
And you don't need a huge list to make a profit.

The best traffic source is the one you OWN, which is your list.
You should be spending every day adding people to your email list.
Here's the truth - your social media followers aren't your leads. Period.
Understand that with paid and earned traffic you are at the mercy of the networks.
They can shut you down at any time for any reason.
If they can shut down the President of the United States social media accounts, they can do that to you as well.
Use earned traffic and eventually paid traffic to turn them into traffic you own by having call to actions to invite them to join your email list.
