One of the most important reasons you need to remove inactive email subscribers is they affect your email deliverability.

Let me explain.

Your autoresponder service, Google, and Microsoft track email engagement rates.

If you have too many inactive subscribers, your emails will rank lower in the inbox and may wind up in the junk or spam folder.

I don't know about you but nobody checks their junk or spam folder frequently.

And if your email isn't being read, you won't make money. Period.

TIP:  When people opt-into your list tell them if they don't see your email in their email box to check their junk/spam folder and add your name to their safe sender's list.

Decrease Autoresponder Costs

A second reason to remove inactive email subscribers is they cost money.

Your autoresponder hosts your email subscribers. The more email subscribers you have the more you have to pay.

Let me give you an example.

If you had 10,000 email subscribers on Aweber that would cost you $69/month or $828/year.

Let's say you deleted 50% of inactive email subscribers on your list, that would drop you down to 5,000 subscribers. You would then pay $49/month or $588/year

That's a savings of $240.
