Do you think that making a lead funnel is complicated? Far from it!

Today you'll learn the 4 parts to creating a simple lead funnel that when done correctly will help you talk to interested prospects who want to hear more about your product and/or your opportunity.

What is a Lead Funnel?

A lead funnel is a process of taking a person through a series of action steps from being a lead wanting more information to a paid customer or signup on your team.

The best thing about lead funnels is you can automate the process online.

The lead funnel is pretty simple and straightforward. 

You create a lead magnet which is something of value you offer to someone in exchange for their contact information - usually their name and email address.

When people enter in their information they get your lead magnet, and you get to follow up with them through email.

A simple lead funnel contains 4 elements.

1) Lead Funnel Software

To create your lead funnel you need software. 

There are many different types out there that will create beautiful lead funnel templates for you to use (i.e. Lead Pages, ClickFunnels).

A word of caution. 

You want to choose a lead funnel software that will allow you to get your website up and running as soon as possible.

Most software types out there do have a learning curve.

2) Autoresponder

The second element of a lead funnel is having an autoresponder.

An autoresponder is a service which stores the email addresses of your email addresses.

This is your list, which is your #1 asset and the traffic you own.

In addition you can upload emails you can then send out to everyone on your list instead of one at a time.

You will connect your autoresponder to your lead funnel software.

Now there are 3 big autoresponder services out there - Aweber, GetResponse, and MailChimp.

I suggest using Aweber because it's the industry standard and integrates easily with most website builder software.

3) Lead Magnet

A lead magnet is a piece of content that is of high value that you can promote to your audience in exchange for their contact information - usually their email address, name, and/or phone number.

The lead magnet can be in many different forms - an audio, eBook, video, interview, PDF download, PowerPoint presentation, etc.

Your lead magnet needs to solve three key objectives.

First, it must be of high perceived value. That is, your audience must find that your lead magnet is valuable enough to solve their problem.

Second, the lead magnet must be easy to consume and provide a quick solution to the problem they have.

Finally, after consuming the lead magnet your audience should be convinced that they should buy your product or join your business opportunity over your competition.

To sum up, your lead magnet must provide a specific solution to a specific problem for a specific audience.

I suggest using a PDF 1 page cheat sheet or a report less than 10 pages as it's something that can be easily consumed.

4) Hosting Your Lead Magnet 

The final component in a lead funnel is where to host your lead magnet.

We'll be talking here about storing your PDF lead magnet.

Your autoresponders will not allow you to send attachments in your emails as that will go straight into your subscribers junk or spam folder.

Instead, you want to have your PDF hosted on a site that will give you a link you can share.

Now there are many different places where you can have your PDF hosted that will give you a link. 

Here are some of my favorite free places: 

1) Google Drive

2) DropBox

3) Microsoft One Drive

4) Your WordPress Blog

If you're brand new I suggest using Google Drive. 

However, make sure that you make that link public.

Now what do you do with that hosted link you created in Google Drive?

You will put that link in the first email you send out to your list.
