Is your email marketing costs (a.k.a your autoresponder) giving you sticker shock?

In this post I'm going to share with you 2 simple strategies that will help you reduce your email marketing costs.

How much does email marketing cost?

It depends on the number of subscribers in your autoresponder.

An autoresponder is a service where you store your email contacts and you can send out emails to your list.

The biggest autoresponder services - Aweber, Get Response, and Mail Chimp operate on a tiered membership plan.

That means, as your email list grows, it costs more to host those email contacts. 

With that said, you need to be taking care of managing your email list.

The first way to lower your email marketing costs is to delete your unsubscribers from your autoresponder.

When someone unsubscribes from your email list, that means they will no longer receive emails from you.

HOWEVER they still remain on your autoresponder and count as your email subscribers.

The bigger the list, the more you have to pay.

With that said, you need to go into your autoresponder and manually remove those unsubscribers.

I suggest you do this at least once per month.

Most autoresponder services do have training tutorials how to remove unsubscribers. 

You can also tutorials on Google and YouTube.

A second way you can reduce your email marketing costs is to see if your autoresponder has an affiliate program.

Aweber, Get Response, and Mail Chimp have affiliate programs.

It doesn't cost anything to sign up to be an affiliate. 

Here's the beauty of becoming an affiliate.

As you enroll more team members into your business, they will also need an autoresponder to help them build their email list.

When they sign up through your link, you'll receive a commission.

You'll continue to receive a commission for as long as they keep their autoresponder subscription active.

Sign up enough people and they will be paying for your email marketing costs!
