The Positioning Pyramid

However, there is one thing we need to focus on first, and that's authority.

Having authority and positioning in the marketplace is a big deal.

But it shouldn't be stressful.

Authority doesn't mean that you've achieved a high rank in your company or have earned a certain amount of money

I'll break down each element of the positioning pyramid using an example of how one person successfully used the ascension pyramid to become one of the biggest names in the home business industry - Ray Higdon.

Generalist

The generalist is at the bottom of the pyramid where people are using the done for you prospecting scripts, emails, and social media assets.

Income is inconsistent at this level.

97% of home business owners stay at this level because they were not taught right.

When Ray started he was over a million dollars in debt and in personal foreclosure. He had to figure out a way to make money and staying at this level wasn't going to change anything.

Specialist

The specialist focuses on one key audience and creates content centered around that audience's big problem they want solved.

Ray hated prospecting, and needed to learn marketing.

He honed in on a target market - network marketers struggling with prospecting.

The more Ray prospected the better he got and he decided to start growing his audience on YouTube making videos sharing his best prospecting tips.

Expert

The expert is the next level up where your audience and niche begins to notice who you are and what you do.

The only thing that separates the expert from the generalist is that the expert keeps doing it one more time day after day.

In the beginning, Ray did a video every day on YouTube while prospecting.

He then was asked to do trainings at his company's live events from the stage.

Authority

The authority is where the industry starts to notice you.

You begin to be invited to podcasts, ZOOM interviews, and speaking at live events.

Ray now is being asked to share the stage at large industry events such as Eric Worre's Network Marketing Pro Events.

Ray is now creating his own products and coaching services.

Celebrity

Where everyone in the industry knows who you are.

You are treated like a rockstar.

You are asked to headline big live events.

This is where you host your own live events and ask some of the big names to join you and they say "YES" without hesitation.

Ray now has his own reality TV show "Play to Win", wrote a best selling book with his wife Jessica "Time, Money, Freedom", and has his own big live event called "Rank Makers Live"

He went from 7 figures in debt to multiple 7 figure earner.

Where Do You Fall on the Positioning Pyramid?
